Terminal layout
London City Airport is home to one main terminal with a single runway, making planning your journey through the airport all the easier.
Check-in
The check-in desks are located in the main terminal building. Travellers can enjoy a check in time of between two hours and 15 minutes before the flight is due to depart, which is shorter than most other airports. You should check this information on your ticket or with your airline prior to your flight.
Leisure and family facilities
Baby-changing
Baby-changing facilities are available throughout the airport in the terminal concourse and the Departures Lounge.
Pushchairs
Pushchairs can be taken through security. However, please be ready to remove your baby for a few minutes while the pushchair is put through the screening x-ray.
Baby milk
It is now possible to take more than the standard 100ml of baby milk or food through security, provided that this is for the sole purpose of your journey.
Information desk
London City Airport's information desk is located on the left hand side of the terminal building.
Shopping
At London City Airport, you can purchase tax free goods in Aelia Duty Free Shop where you will find a great range of products, such as cosmetics, fragrances, accessories, confectionery, liquor and tobacco. The complimentary Collect on Return service means you won't need to transport your purchases on your flight but can simply pick them up when you arrive back in the UK. EU passengers can also arrange for their goods to be delivered anywhere in the UK for £8.99 or a case of wine or champagne for free.
Other shops available include jewellery shop Links of London and a Boots for toiletries, travel accessories and health and beauty products. You will also find two branches of WHSmith located before and after security.
Food & drink
In the departure lounge visitors can enjoy the pastries and take away foods from Panopolis and Pret A Manger. Once through security there is a wider range of options, including coffee and quality snacks from Caffe Nero and Espressamente Illy or full, hot meals and drinks from The City Bar & Grill.
Business facilities
Business lounge
As London City Airport is compact, with just one terminal, there is only one main departure lounge and no business facilities available.
Getting online and staying connected
London City Airport offers unlimited free Wi-Fi to all passengers; just log on when in the terminal to enjoy unlimited internet access. Alternatively, you can use one of the airport's internet kiosks in the Departure Lounge for high speed pay-as-you-go surfing.
Special assistance
Passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) are well catered for at London City Airport, where staff will, where possible, meet individual needs as passengers pass through the airport. If you require special assistance, you will need to notify your airline or travel agent at least 48 hours before travelling, specifying whether you will require or be bringing your own mobility aid.
Passengers can also contact the airport switchboard on +44 (0)20 7646 0000 to make arrangements if necessary.
