How it works - arrival at the airport
When you're about 20 minutes away from the airport, you need to give the car park a call to let them know you are on your way. It's important to do this, because if your car spends too long in the car park you may be liable for a fine.
Once you arrive at London City airport, you need to drive to the on-site car park (formerly known as Long Stay). There is a barrier at the car park entrance and you will need to take a ticket in order to get in. Drive in and park your car in an available space. A uniformed driver will be on hand to meet you. Give them your keys, as well as your ticket from the barrier.
All you need to do then is unload your luggage and stroll to the terminal, which is only 3-5 minutes away.
Once inside, park in an available space and keep your keys with you. The terminal is then just a short walk away.
How it works - returning to the airport
When your flight lands, give the car park a ring to let them know you're back. Once you've collected your luggage, you then just need to walk back to the on-site car park where you'll be met by a Butterfly driver with your car.
You will also be given a ticket to enable you to leave the car park. You will have to pay an exit fee: if your car leaves within 10 minutes of it arriving at the car park, the fee is £3.20. If your car leaves within 29 minutes of arriving at the car park, you'll be required to pay an exit fee of £7.50.
Security features:
The car park has been awarded a Park Mark by the local police, meaning it meets high standards for security.
The small print
If, for any reason, you have to wait longer than 10 minutes for your car to be collected or returned to you, then you will be refunded 50% of your booking.
Please note - the car park only accepts vehicles with a maximum height of 2 metres and width of 2.5 metres.
The opening hours of the car park are from 5am - 10pm Monday - Friday; 5am - 1pm on Saturday; 11am - 10pm on Sunday, so you need to drop your car off between these times in order to use the Meet and Greet service.
Please ensure your car is in legal roadworthy condition with full insurance, road tax and MOT otherwise you may be liable for any extra costs incurred by the car park.
When you return, show your copy of the booking confirmation ticket and pay any supplementary parking charges. If you fail to do this, the car park may not be able to return your vehicle to you. In the unlikely event that your vehicle has incurred any damage, this must be reported before you leave.
Please also be aware that you need to arrive as close as possible to your booked slot. If you are more more than 20 minutes late, you may be charged a £30 waiting fee.
