Terminal layout
Southampton Airport has one main terminal, making planning your trip all the easier.
Terminal map
See Southampton Airport's official website for a map of the Terminal. Southampton Airport has a team of Airport Ambassadors. These friendly & helpful members of staff can be found throughout the airport and will be able to answer all your questions. You can identify them by their green shirts. They're there to help so don't hesitate to ask or call them from one of the terminal's help points.
Check-in
You will find the check-in desks immediately inside the terminal as you enter through the terminal departures entrance. Simply locate the "departures" sign leading you towards the left of the terminal building. Check-in opens at 5am. You should check your ticket or with your airline for advice on how much time to allow for checking in. As a general rule, check in 90 minutes before the scheduled departure of an international flight or 60 minutes before the scheduled departure of a domestic flight.
Leisure and family facilities
Baby changing
Parents travelling with children are entitled to use the airport's unisex toilets located throughout the terminal. Dedicated baby changing facilities are located in the arrivals area to the right of the main terminal, opposite Costa Coffee, and on the first floor of the departure lounge after security.
Information desk
Help points are located both before security and in the arrivals zone before clearing customs. The help point before security is located towards the right-hand side of the terminal and is opposite the Checkers Cars Taxi desk. If you have any additional queries, you can always look out for Southampton's Airport Ambassadors. These friendly & helpful members of staff will be able to answer all your questions and can be identified by their green shirts.
Shopping
Southampton is home to a small selection of retail outlets to meet basic travelling needs. Visit World Duty Free to take advantage of Tax Free goods and treats. You can also make use of Southampton Airport's Shop & Collect service, available to all passengers travelling within the EU. Your goods will be securely stored at the Airport while you are on your trip, meaning no need to lug around the additional luggage. Upon your return, simply collect your shopping from the convenient collection point. Southampton Airport also has two branches of WHSmith, one located in the main terminal, one in the departure lounge. Here you can pick up some in-flight entertainment or holiday reads, such as novels or magazines, as well as a selection of travel essentials and gadgets.
Food & drink
Though the selection is small, Southampton has three excellent eating options. Located within the Main Terminal, The Globe Bar and Kitchen offers pub-style dining, with hot cooked breakfasts, light lunches or hearty dinners. After Security, you will find the Olive Tree cafe, an excellent spot for a quick bite to eat before your flight or even relaxing with a glass of wine. All establishments within Southampton Airport are family friendly, with The Globe Bar and Kitchen also offering a children's menu. The airport is also home to two Costa Coffees, before and after security.
