From Glasgow (North) you can go west on M8, and south on the M77, A77, A78, and A79.

From Dumfries (South) you can go north on A76 (A74), A70, A77, A68 and south on A79.

From Girvan and Stranraer you can go north on A77, A78, and south on A79.
